What does a website cost in Louisiana?
The short answer: it depends on what you need. I quote every website build after talking with you about your business, not off a price list — this guide walks through what changes that number, how long a build takes, and what it costs to keep the site running once it’s live.
Why isn’t there a build price on this page?
Every build I quote is different, because every business asking is different. A five-page site for a shop and a site that takes payments or has a signed-in members area take different amounts of work to build, so I quote each one after we talk about what you actually need — never off a price list. The care plan that follows is the opposite: those tiers and their prices are published on the Care plans page, not gated behind a call.
What shapes the quote?
A few things change how much a build takes:
- How many pages it needs and how much of the content — text, photos, prices — you already have ready.
- Whether it needs a plain contact form, an online quote or booking form, payments, or a signed-in area for members.
- How much custom design work it needs, versus a simpler layout.
J&L Custom Gates needed a quote form built to take a photo of the gate opening. Louisiana Bonsai Society needed a signed-in area for its board and its paid members. Both shaped what those two builds took to finish.
How long does a build take?
A build is live in one to three weeks, depending on what it needs, once we’ve agreed on the scope. That’s the design and build time — after that, the site goes live and moves onto its care plan.
Who looks after hosting and the domain?
The quote covers the design and the build itself. I host and maintain every site I build, and I buy and run the domain for you. If you ever cancel your care plan, your site stays up, your domain stays yours, and I send you the files.
What does the monthly care plan cost?

That’s the recurring part of the cost and the one part I publish. Every plan includes unlimited small edits, one request at a time, tested before anything goes live; higher tiers add faster turnaround and more included. See care plan tiers for the full ladder.
Can the design fee be refunded?
If a project is cancelled after the design fee is invoiced, whether any of it is refunded depends on how much work has already been done — that’s decided case by case. The full policy is on Care plan terms.
